Who We Are

My name is Donia, and I’m a passionate entrepreneur with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, specializing in child development. After graduating during the pandemic, I explored various career paths, but it wasn’t until recently that I found my true passion – creating a space where children can learn, play, and grow. My experience as a nanny and babysitter, combined with a deep love for working with kids, inspired me to open a play café. This venture has given me the opportunity to combine my knowledge of child development with a fun and engaging environment for families. My sisters, Rowann and Ayah, have been my creative experts and the driving forces behind the vision for this café. Rowann, provided invaluable insights that helped me design a space rich in developmental and sensory experiences. Ayah brought her unique creativity and fresh ideas, ensuring that every corner of the café sparks joy and imagination. Their combined support, guidance, and dedication were integral to making this dream a reality. Together, they helped shape a place where children can thrive, and families can connect, making it everything I envisioned and more.

I come from a large, close-knit family, with 7 siblings, 4 nieces, and 3 nephews. Spending time with them, especially the younger ones, has always been a big part of my life. I’ve had the incredible support of my family in this new chapter, and I’m excited about the future. My sister, Rosann, who is an occupational therapist in Nebraska, has been particularly influential in incorporating elements of sensory and imaginary play into the café’s design. She helped make certain that it’s a space that nurtures both creativity and development.
